Tangalooma Blues
  by Dougie

she was a pretty lady I have to say
a Tangalooma boat girl such a doll
she said hello and smiled my way
my senses left me on a merry stroll
to join her smile and bless her soul
she kissed me sweetly I held her tight
we were together that summers night

but soon then with the setting moon
and with that special night in decline
the love we had found ended so soon
her fancy quickly turning from mine
my fancy simply suspended in time
  sweet kisses became sweet memory
as she left on her Tangalooma ferry

she left my arms
in the early dawn
with frozen charms
and just a yawn
and a hint of scorn
I blinked my eyes
but no goodbyes

the Tangalooma Blues is my story
I lost my way but then re found it
the Tangalooma Blues has no glory
I shall return please don't doubt it
I lost my way but then re found it
but this is not the story's end
The Tangalooma Blues has no end
