Love Compared

at night when I see the universe
and the moon floating high
the low distant streaking star
the soft lonely night owl cry
my mind fills with joyfull verse
but compared to you my love
it is nothing.........
walking on the beach at sunrise
seeing urgent swooping gulls
the flashing beacons far
drumming of the fishing hulls
the peace and tranquillity defies
but compared to you my love
it is nothing.........
camping in the low hills outback
early morning dingo howl
thumping of the kangaroo
possibillity of a nugget now
rugged mountains red and black
but compared to you my love
it is nothing.........
tiger snake long sleek and lithe
green tree frog small and cute
the racing henry huntsman
or the bouncing monarch flute
a bungarra stands to give the eye
but compared to you my love
it is nothing.........
marilyn monroe goddess of love
bardoe with a pout and pose
grace so tall and elegant
diana such an english rose
elle mcpherson rich to dream of
but compared to you my love
it is nothing.........
